Ward Island and Deep Water Boat Dock

Ward Island is among the great amenities of Misty Harbor. The Island is about 100 yards off shore in one of the many water ways of Misty Harbor. It is connected to the mainland by a beautiful heavy timber bow-back bridge and surrounded by the native tidal marsh. All property owners of Misty Harbor may use these Island facilities:

  • The Key West style cabana can be used for picnics and shelter.

  • The Launch Ramp can be used for boat launching about 12 hours each day when tidal waters are high enough.

  • A floating Fishing/Tie-off Dock is located at the end of the Fishing/Observation Pier.

The Boat Dock Marina is restricted to owners of the slips at the Marina. The Marina is located in deep water that is stabilized by limestone bedrock and the dock's floating concrete design is perfect for the marsh waterways that raise and lower with the tides. Each slip is equipped with its own storage dock box and common use water and power is available. Only owners of a lot in Misty Harbor may own a slip. Some lots for sale in Misty Harbor include the purchase of a slip. Your real estate professional can advise if a property is available that includes a slip or an option to purchase a slip; or contact the Marina Village Association to see if they are aware of any slips that are for resale. Slip owners are also members of the Marina Village Association which has its own by-laws and dues in addition to those of Misty Harbor Commnity Association.
